The latest free agent move could be about Rodney Stuckey? Stuckey could return to the Indiana Pacers, but wants to be on a contending team next season. The Houston Rockets are reportedly interested, along with the Sacramento Kings (although the Kings don’t sound like they meet the contending team requirement to me?). The point guard is only 29 years old and signed with the Pacers last Summer after spending his first seven seasons with Detroit. He averaged 12.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists while shooting a career-high 39% from 3-point range off the bench last season. With the possibility of the Pacers returning to relevance, largely due to the expected healthy return of Paul George, Stuckey could be in a good situation with Indiana already. Indiana president, Larry Bird, is constantly trying to improve the roster (although rumors of losing David West isn’t good). Bird called Stuckey a “major plus” after last season and stated the Pacers “need guys like Rodney.” Stuckey really could be a major piece for the right team next season.
